Website Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Mokafe ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use this website. If you use the Mokafe mobile app, the separate mobile app privacy policy applies to it.

The ordering technology is provided by Kayts, which processes your data on our behalf and only for the purposes below.

Account information: your name and phone number, and optionally your email and date of birth, collected when you sign in or register. We sign you in with a one-time SMS code, and use this information to identify your orders and run your loyalty account.

Order information: the items you order, your delivery address, order comments, and your payment method and payment status. It is used to fulfil and support your order, show your order history, and calculate loyalty points and cashback.

Payments: card payments are made on the bank's secure payment page; this website never sees or stores your card number. Cash and other payment methods are also accepted where the business has enabled them.

Browser storage: the site keeps your sign-in session in your browser’s local storage so you don’t have to log in on every visit. Optional cookies of analytics and advertising services are used only if this venue has switched them on, and only after you accept them in the cookie banner, which names the services in use; you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Without your acceptance, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Location: if you use "locate me" when choosing a delivery address, your browser asks for permission and the location is used once to suggest an address. It is not stored beyond the address you choose to save.

Service providers receive only the data needed for their task: payment processing (banks and payment services), delivery services (where used), mapping services (maps and address search), and SMS delivery of your one-time login code.

Visit statistics: to understand how many visitors end up ordering, we count visits, product views, cart additions and checkout starts. This uses a random identifier kept in your browser (not a cookie) and where you came from (a link or campaign tag). It is our own statistics: it is not passed to advertising networks, not linked to your name or phone, and kept for up to 180 days. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not count you.

Consent: when you sign in or register we keep a record of when you accepted these documents and which version, so that we can show your agreement and ask again if the documents change.

We do not sell your personal information. If you accept optional advertising cookies, the analytics and advertising services receive data about your visit and may use it for advertising under their own policies.

Your choices: you can edit your details, delete your account or request a copy of your data from your account page at any time. Deleting your account erases your profile, addresses, saved cards and favourites; past orders are kept only in anonymised form for accounting records.

Security and children: data is sent over HTTPS and access is limited to authorised staff. The service is not directed at children under 13. If we change this policy we will update this page.
